It is worth noting in the election results that most citizens in Marin County really value having clean water and a healthy environment. Larry Bragman took a strong stand in his campaign for an herbicide and pesticide free watershed. Additionally, he does not support the pipeline over the Richmond Bridge which would bring less pure water over to Marin from Contra Costa County through the desalination plant being built in Antioch. Plans for the desalination plant are to draw the necessary water from some of the most dirty waters in the Bay. It is understandable that this idea is not popular with Marinites.
